- Use a premium quality (salt free) car wash liquid, mixed with water as per manufacturer's directions and a soft cotton cloth to clean the entire unit.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, detergent based cleaners or solvent based cleaners such as scouring agents, dishwashing liquids, washing powders, thinners etc. as these can adversely affect the expected life of the product.
- Hard to reach areas may require the use of a soft nylon bristle.
- Dry unit with a soft cotton cloth or chamois.
- Use a lubricating spray for all moving parts especially hinges.

- Always use a steel tape measure
- Measurements should always be supplied in millimetres (width x drop or height)
- Ensure you measure all windows, even if they appear to be the same
When placing your order for either 'reveal fix' or 'face fix' blinds, you have the option to either provide us with the recess size and we will do the necessary deductions or add-on's in the case of 'face fix', or you can specify the finished size that you require. Either way be sure to be clear when placing your order.

Reveal Fix
This allows for the blind to be fitted inside the window recess, gives the neatest finish and is the most popular way of fitting blinds. You should provide us with the exact measurements of the opening, we will then automatically subtract 5mm per side (both left and right) in the factory for easy clearance of the blind.
- Take three width measurements as indicated, use the shortest of the three measurements for the actual width of the recess.
- Take three drop measurements as indicated and use the shortest of the three measurements for the actual drop of the recess.
Reveal fix with cut out
Often in bathrooms or kitchens there is tiling halfway up the wall in this case you have to measure the window recess as well as the tiles that are in the way in order to do a cut out for these. The same process is followed for dado rails that protrude into the recess and also in the case of doors where skirting's at the bottom may end up being in the way of the blind.
- Take the measures as indicated in the diagram
- If the width of the tiles is not equal on both sides, then be sure to indicate these different measurements
- Be sure to specify that you want your blind reveal fixed should this be the case. A standard valance would also be included to a reveal fix blind.
Face fix
This fixing method allows for the blind to be fitted outside the window recess, on the face of the wall. It is usually used when the window recess has been taken up by burglar bars or in the absence of an adequate window recess. It is also used in the case of doors to allow for more walk-through height when the blind is in the 'pulled-up' position.
- Take the measures as indicated in the diagram
- If the width of the tiles is not equal on both sides, then be sure to indicate these different measurements
Be sure to specify that you want your blind reveal fixed should this be the case. A standard valance would also be included to a reveal fix blind.
